GWIX Terms of Use
Last updated October 31, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the GWIX API, the GWIX console, Ask GWIX, the developer documentation and any data you receive from them (together, the Service). The Service is provided by Global Wholesale Intelligence Exchange Corp., a Delaware corporation (GWIX, we).
The Service is for business and professional use. It is not offered to consumers, and you must be at least 18 years old to use it.
Acceptance. An administrator authorized by your organization accepts these terms for it (you) when creating its account. We record which version was accepted, by whom and when. If you do not have authority to bind your organization, do not use the Service.
Agents. Your administrator may authorize software agents to use the Service for you, within the permissions and spending limits you set. An agent that registers through the API accepts these terms for its operator, and the operator is bound. You are responsible for your agents’ use of the Service.
2. Definitions
- GWIX Data: data you receive from the Service.
- Data class: a category of GWIX Data with its own credit cost and license terms, as shown in response metadata.
- Unit: one row returned by a data call, or one call where the documentation says a call is charged as a whole.
- Agent: software that calls the Service on your behalf.
- Training: using GWIX Data to train or fine-tune a model’s parameters. Grounding: giving GWIX Data to a model when it answers, without changing its parameters.
- Redistribution: providing GWIX Data, or data derived from it that could substitute for it, to anyone outside your organization, other than as section 5 allows.
3. Accounts, API keys and access levels
- Account. Keep your account details accurate and current.
- API keys. Keys are secrets. Keep them confidential, do not embed them in client-side code, and revoke any key you think is exposed. You are responsible for use of your keys until you revoke them, except use that results from a compromise of our systems or from our delay in acting on a revocation.
- Agents. Agents must be registered and must identify themselves on every call. Unidentified calls may be refused.
- Access levels. Evaluation (an account and a registered agent); Verified business (business verification); High-volume (business and operator verification, and a signed order form).
- Limits. Each level’s caps and rate limits are published in the console and documentation, shown before you buy, and kept as dated records. Caps apply per organization unless the documentation says they apply per agent or key. Requests above a limit are refused, not charged. We may apply limits immediately to protect the Service or others. We will give 30 days’ notice before materially reducing access you have paid for; you may then ask for a refund of unused purchased credits.
- Verification. Give us accurate information for verification and keep it current. We may decline, limit or withdraw a level if verification fails or the information changes.
4. Credits, pricing and payment
Credit pack prices are on the pricing page at api.gwix.ai/docs/pricing, which forms part of these terms. The credits a request uses are shown on every response, and larger requests can be quoted free before they run.
- Evaluation credit. A new account receives $250 of evaluation credit (5,000 credits) once a payment card is saved for it. Until card setup is available in the console, the credit is granted when the account accepts these terms instead. Saving the card charges nothing, and nothing is bought automatically when the evaluation ends. Like purchased credits, it is valid for 12 months from when it is granted and is used oldest-expiring first. It has no cash value.
- Credit packs. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from purchase and are used oldest-expiring first. If the Service is unavailable through our fault, or we suspend you in error, we extend the expiry of your credits by the length of that period.
- Charging. Each call uses credits per unit according to its data class. Calls that find no match or ask you to disambiguate are free. Calls that fail because of an error on our side are not charged.
- Ask GWIX. Ask GWIX charges the credits of the data calls it makes for you. The free sample on gwix.ai is not charged. Free answers that come with the evaluation credit or a credit purchase, as the pricing page describes, are used first and are not charged; they expire with the credits they came with.
- Payment. Payment is taken by our payment processor when you buy credits, or invoiced where we agree. Prices exclude taxes, which you pay where they apply. Raise any billing dispute within 60 days of the charge.
- Refunds. Purchases are final, except as these terms provide, where the law requires a refund, or where we charged you in error.
- Price changes. We may change credit pack prices, or the credits used per unit, at any time; a change applies from when it is posted. Pack price changes apply only to purchases made afterwards. If a change raises the credits used per unit, on the day it takes effect we add credits to your organization’s unused purchased credits so they buy as much of your typical use as before (the true-up). We calculate the true-up from your organization’s use of each data class over the previous 90 days, or from the average change across data classes if you had no use in that period. True-up credits are valid for 12 months. Evaluation credits and other free credits receive no true-up. A change that lowers the credits used per unit applies immediately and takes nothing back.
5. License and permitted use
Subject to these terms and to paying for what you use, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GWIX Data. Every buyer gets the same licenses on the same published terms. The Standard license comes with every account. The Reseller license is a separate agreement on terms published on the pricing page.
| Use | Standard license | Reseller license needed |
|---|---|---|
| Analysis, reports, dashboards and decisions inside your organization | Yes | — |
| Agents and apps answering your own staff or your own users, citing GWIX | Yes | — |
| Excerpts of GWIX Data in work you deliver to clients | Yes, with attribution | When delivered in bulk or as a feed |
| Training or grounding models used inside your organization | Yes, on training-permitted data | — |
| A model trained on GWIX Data that is sold, licensed or served to others | No | Yes |
| Redistribution, resale, or datasets, feeds or APIs built from GWIX Data | No | Yes |
Consumption threshold. All Standard use is subject to a consumption threshold. If in a calendar month your organization retrieves more than the published share of a product’s data for that period, we will tell you and give you 30 days to move to a Reseller license or reduce your use. The share is the number of distinct data cells your organization retrieved, across all its keys and agents (a cell retrieved more than once counts once), divided by the number of cells available for that product and period. The threshold is published on the pricing page and is the same for every buyer. Until a threshold is published, none applies.
AI training. You may train models on GWIX Data within these limits:
- Training-permitted data only. GWIX Data may be used for training unless the pricing page or a response’s metadata marks its data class as not for training. A marking added after you received data applies only to data received afterwards.
- No reproduction. Do not build or prompt a model to reproduce GWIX Data in bulk or to stand in for the Service.
- Models served to others. A model trained on GWIX Data that is sold, licensed or served to third parties needs a Reseller license.
- Records. Keep a record of the GWIX Data you trained on, and confirm compliance in writing if we ask, at most once a year. These terms give us no other audit right.
- After termination. Models trained in line with these terms before termination may stay in use, subject to any deletion or remediation that the law or a court requires. Do not train them further on GWIX Data received afterwards.
6. Restrictions
You will not, and will not let anyone else:
- redistribute, resell or sublicense GWIX Data, except under a Reseller license;
- retrieve data systematically to rebuild the GWIX dataset or create a substitute for the Service, or get around rate limits, caps, credit charging, access levels or the consumption threshold, including by spreading use across keys, accounts or agents. Analysis within your license is not affected;
- share API keys or accounts across organizations, or register an agent under someone else’s identity;
- try to identify any individual, any organization’s confidential data or any source record from GWIX statistics, or combine them with other data to do so;
- use GWIX Data to screen, rank or make decisions about individuals for employment, or to decide anyone’s eligibility for credit, insurance, housing or similar benefits (market and recruiting research is not affected);
- use GWIX Data to stalk, harass, dox or covertly monitor anyone, for exploitative targeting, or to get around anyone’s privacy choices;
- use the Service to coordinate prices, wages or other terms with competitors, or in any other way that breaks competition law;
- remove or alter license markers or metadata in GWIX responses, reverse engineer the Service, test its security without our written permission, or send it malicious code;
- use the Service in breach of export controls or sanctions, or for any other unlawful purpose.
7. The data, its limits and attribution
- What it is. GWIX Data is aggregated statistics and reference data, compiled from data licensed from data partners and other sources. Each product’s documentation sets out its sources, what it measures, whether values are observed or inferred, its coverage, units and periods, and its known limitations. For example, pay figures from job advertisements are advertised pay, not what people are actually paid.
- Personal data. GWIX statistics are aggregated and designed so that no individual can be identified. GWIX does not currently offer personal data products.
- Releases. GWIX Data is published in identified releases, and a new release revises earlier figures. You may keep and cite figures from earlier releases with their release identifier. We publish notices of corrections and methodology changes.
- Limits. Source practices differ by country, sector and organization. Small samples are suppressed or flagged as the documentation describes.
- Third-party sources. Ask GWIX may quote official statistics from government websites. Those figures are labeled with their source, remain subject to their publishers’ terms, and are not GWIX Data.
- Attribution. When you show GWIX Data to anyone outside your organization, cite it as the citation returned with each response (for example “Source: GWIX, advertised pay from job ads, 2026-Q3”) and keep its wording about what the figures measure. Do not present GWIX Data as official statistics or as a named organization’s own figures.
8. Ask GWIX
Ask GWIX answers questions using an AI model that calls the GWIX API and, where useful, official statistics websites. Its answers are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Check figures against the data calls and sources it lists before relying on them.
- The free sample on gwix.ai is limited to a few questions a day per visitor and may change or stop at any time.
- Do not enter personal data, confidential information or other people’s data in your questions.
- To produce answers, we send your questions, the conversation so far and the GWIX Data retrieved for them to our AI model provider. Under its commercial terms, the provider does not use them to train its models. It may keep them for a limited period, including for safety review.
- We keep questions and answers for up to 90 days to run the Service, fix errors and check the quality of answers. We do not use them to train AI models. Our Privacy Policy at gwix.ai/privacy has details.
9. Ownership and feedback
GWIX and its licensors own the Service, its software, the GWIX taxonomies and identifiers, the documentation and the compilations that make up GWIX Data. We do not claim ownership of underlying facts. These terms give you only the license in section 5.
You own your inputs, the analyses and reports you create, and the weights of models you train in line with these terms, subject to these terms’ limits on the GWIX Data they contain. You may use the GWIX name only to attribute GWIX Data. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
10. Warranties, liability and indemnities
THE SERVICE AND GWIX DATA ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, GWIX DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. GWIX Data is not legal, financial or other professional advice.
Limitation of liability. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS: (A) NEITHER PARTY IS LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL OR DATA; AND (B) GWIX’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, INCLUDING UNDER THE INDEMNITY BELOW, IS LIMITED IN AGGREGATE TO THE FEES YOU PAID GWIX FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE FIRST CLAIM, OR USD 100 IF GREATER. These limits do not apply to your payment obligations, your indemnity obligations or your breach of sections 5 or 6, and do not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
GWIX’s indemnity. GWIX will defend you against any third-party claim that GWIX Data, used as these terms allow, infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, and will pay damages finally awarded or settlements we agree. This does not cover claims arising from GWIX Data combined with other data or material, modified by anyone other than GWIX, used in breach of these terms, or used after we tell you to stop. If such a claim arises, or we think it may, we may get you the right to keep using the data, modify it, or end your access to it and refund the unused credits you bought for it. This paragraph is your only remedy for infringement claims.
Your indemnity. You will defend GWIX against any third-party claim arising from your or your agents’ breach of these terms or unlawful use of the Service, and will pay damages finally awarded or settlements you agree.
Procedure. The party seeking a defense must notify the other promptly in writing, let it control the defense and settlement, and cooperate at its expense. No settlement may admit fault by, or impose obligations on, the defended party without its consent. Where the defended party contributed to the claim, the indemnity is reduced in proportion.
11. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time from the console.
- We may suspend or limit access immediately to protect the Service or others, or if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.
- We may end these terms for convenience with 30 days’ notice. If we do, we will refund your unused purchased credits, calculated as the credits remaining in each pack times that pack’s price per credit.
- If a source’s rights end or the law requires it, we may stop providing affected GWIX Data. Where the law, a court or a source agreement requires it, you must stop using and delete that data when we tell you, and we will refund unused credits bought for it.
- After termination you may keep using GWIX Data received before termination, and the analyses, reports, embeddings and models made from it, in line with these terms. This does not apply after termination for your breach, or to data you must delete under the previous paragraph.
- Sections 5 (for data already received and models already trained), 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination.
12. Changes, disputes and general terms
- Changes. We may update these terms. We will post the new version with its date and, for material changes, tell your administrator by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes do not remove your rights to GWIX Data already received or reduce the value of credits already bought. Changes to pack prices or to the credits used per unit are made under section 4, not this paragraph. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the changes.
- Order of precedence. Where documents conflict, this order applies: a signed order form or agreement with GWIX; a Reseller agreement; these terms; the pricing page and documentation; response metadata.
- Notices. Send notices to us at info@gwix.ai, with “Legal notice” in the subject. We send notices to your administrator’s email address.
- Disputes. Before starting proceedings, a party must send written notice of the dispute, and both parties will try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days. Either party may seek urgent injunctive relief at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction.
- Individuals’ rights. Nothing in these terms limits any person’s statutory rights or their right to contact a regulator.
- Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our consent, except to a successor to all or substantially all of your business. We may assign them to a successor to our business.
